چکیده

The Omicron (B.1.1.529) variant of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) was initially identified in November 2021 South Africa and Botswana, as well a sample from traveller Hong Kong1,2. Since then, has been detected globally. This appears to be at least infectious Delta (B.1.617.2), already caused superspreader events3, outcompeted within weeks several countries metropolitan areas. hosts an unprecedented number mutations its spike gene early reports have provided evidence for extensive immune escape reduced vaccine effectiveness2,4,5,6. Here we investigated the virus-neutralizing protein-binding activity sera convalescent, double mRNA-vaccinated, mRNA-boosted, convalescent double-vaccinated boosted individuals against wild-type, Beta (B.1.351) SARS-CoV-2 isolates proteins. Neutralizing participants undetectable or very low compared with wild-type virus, whereas neutralizing who had exposed three four times through infection vaccination maintained, although significantly levels. Binding receptor-binding N-terminal domains protein binding wild type unvaccinated individuals, but mostly retained vaccinated individuals.

Design of a Multi-epitope Peptide Vaccine against SARS-CoV-2 based on Immunoinformatics Data

Background and purpose: In 2019, the world has witnessed the emergence of a virus that caused acute respiratory distress syndrome in human with high mortality rates (approximately 3.7%). So far, no effective treatment has been proven against COVID-19. This study aimed at designing a multi-epitope vaccine combining several T-cell and B-cell epitopes of the SARS-CoV-2. Materials and methods: Bas...

Identification of synthetic vaccine candidates against SARS CoV infection.

Three peptides, D1 (amino acid residues 175-201), D2 (a.a. 434-467), and TM (a.a. 1128-1159), corresponding to the spike protein (S) of severe acute respiratory syndrome corona virus (SARS CoV) were synthesized and their immunological functions were investigated in three different animals models (mice, guinea pigs, and rabbits). The peptides mixture formulated either with Freund's adjuvant or s...

In silico design a multivalent epitope vaccine against SARS-CoV-2 for Iranian populations

Background: Due to high genetic variation in human leukocyte antigen )HLA( alleles, epitope-based vaccines don’t show equal efficacy in different human populations. therefore, we proposed a multi-epitope vaccine against SARS-CoV-2 for Iranian populations. Materials and Methods: For this purpose, the proteins without allergenicity and high antigenicity as well as conservancy level from SARS-CoV...

Designing an ELISA Method for Measurement of Human IgG and IgM Antibodies against SARS-CoV-2

Background and purpose: Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a respiratory disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). In this study, an indirect ELISA method was designed to measure the human IgM and IgG antibodies against SARS-CoV-2. Materials and methods: Protein sequence of nucleocapsid antigen from SARS-CoV-2 was expressed in E. coli BL21 and then was...

SARS-CoV-2 infection: its psychiatric manifestations

Background:  The clinical presentation of SARS-CoV-2 infection was initially dominated by respiratory symptoms. However the clinical spectrum is wide and neuropsychiatric syndromes are also a source of medical concern. Our aims are to present an atypical clinical presentation of SARS-CoV-2 infection characterized by auditory hallucinations and unusual behavior and to emphasize the diversity of ...
